Dhaka: The entire country is shaking with FIFA World Cup fever. In the excitement, a group of prison staff at Kashimpur Women’s Central Jail turned on floodlights and played football.

At the same time, some prison guards on duty in the high watch tower were also busy watching the game. Due to this lax security, Rimpa (21), a female prisoner sentenced to three months in prison for theft, escaped by scaling the nearly 16-foot-high prison wall.
This is the first time in the country’s history that a female prisoner has escaped by climbing over prison walls.
She escaped from Kashimpur Women’s Central Jail in Gazipur last Thursday (July 16).

He could not be arrested till Saturday (July 18) evening. The prison authorities filed a case with Konabari Police Station on Friday (July 17) in this incident.
In addition, three matrons (female supervisors) and four female prison guards have been temporarily suspended for negligence in their duties, and a three-member investigation committee has been formed.
